Mountain Restaurants

You are spoiled for choice with mountain restarants in Verbier, but here are a few ideas:
Cabana Mont Fort, +41 (0)27 778 13 84 is located half way down the Jumbo as you ski into La Chaux, it has a terrific terrace with stunning views. Get there early as you can’t book.
Le Carrefour +41 (0) 27 771 55 55 is ideal for meeting with non-skiers (access by bus from the village) whilst skiers can come from Medran and Savolyres areas. They cook steaks on a hot stone slab and serve fantastic salads.
Chez Dany, +41(0)27 771 25 24is a great stop for a late lunch or a bottle of wine on the way down to the village through the trees. If non-skiers want to join, a skidoo can be arranged to transport them, or else it’s a 40 minute walk.
Cuckoo’s Nest, +41 (0) 27 771 25 15 is clock-themed as its name suggests, Dr King Lewis loves this restaurant which is found at the top of the Funnispace cable car. They offers swiss specialities, including fondues, hot stone steaks and chocolate fondues.
Le Dahu +41 (0) 27 778 20 00 is at the bottom of La Chat. They serve a delicious Swiss menu. Eat inside or on the panoramic terrace.
La Vache +41 (0) 27 771 32 91 is a chalet-bistro pizzeria at the top of the James Blunt (Attelas Chair lift) Delicious soups pizza and burgers at reasonable prices. You’ll need to book here as it’s very popular!
Carlsberg Chalet +41(0) 27 775 26 73 A sunny terrace in the middle of the piste. Perfect for a quick lunch or a long lunch enjoying the sunshine and views.

A wonderful addition to Verbier situated opposite the W Hotel. Lunch is the usual suspects but with a stylish and tasty twist.

Just up from the main square towards Savoleyres. Meats, croutes au fromage and delicious pizzas cooked on an open fire. An excellent family restaurant but you need to book.

Next to the Medran lift station. A traditional Swiss restaurant. Their signature dish is ‘Potence’ which is pieces of steak hanging from metal gallows served with a selection of sauces, rice or fries.

Good quality family food. Pizza, pasta, chicken wings and comforting bowls of chilli.

Famous for hot chocolates and homemade cakes, tarts and pancakes. A great place for breakfast or après ski tea.

In the Nevai Hotel. Delicious sushi and a sumibiyaki grill serving Kobe beef imported from Japan. We are very impressed with the offer here.

Opposite Medran, we often start our day here with a delicious breakfast of eggs anyway you like. The owners have been offering good value local food for 40 years. Breakfast lunch and dinner are all good.

At the foot of ‘Le Rouge’ ski run. The terrace is packed on a sunny day for lunch and après ski. In the evening it turns into a first class restaurant with live music in the bar upstairs. Sunday brunch is highly recommended.

Excellent restaurant in the Vanessa Hotel. The lounge bar is also a great place to unwind and getaway from the Verbier madness.

Late night Verbier

So if you have anything left in the tank after dinner then Verbier has plenty to offer, the Ibiza of the Alps.

is open from 3pm to 2am each day. Here you can relax on sofas and watch the world go by. It boasts a menu of 30 cocktails. Annabel likes the espresso martini, and I love the porn star martini as in the picture.
Next door the Farinet Après Bar hosts a live band playing every day from 4pm so prepare to indulge in some serious fun.
Etoile Rouge Supper Club +41 (0) 27 775 69 69 is a late night venue where you can dine and dance under the same roof.
The Farm Club +41 (0) 27 775 4000 Has been a world famous night club for over 40 years and probably the most famous club in the alps. At the weekends you need to get there for 11.30. Still the best place to dance in the early hours of the morning.On the way home stop at The Hole In The Wall Bakery near the post office and pick up a freshly baked croissant or pain-au-chocolat for breakfast.
